Our Story
Butch Thompson Enterprises was founded in 1975 by Butch Thompson, who had dreamed about being in the “road business” since he was a boy. As young as 13, he dreamed of becoming a paving foreman one day. He went on to do exactly that, but then he took his dream even further.
Butch Thompson Enterprises began with just three people, including Butch, focusing solely on pipe work. By the late 80s, in the face of a recession, paving and road work was added to the roster. The most staggering growth came in the late 90s, when over the course of about four years, BTE’s volume doubled to $30 million. The company grew exponentially, necessitating the hiring of key leadership to scale the business. Today, BTE continues to grow along with market demand, with an unmatched dedication to quality, efficiency and integrity.
